The free version runs the exact same pokie as the cash game, only you spin a virtual balance instead of real dollars. It plays from A$0.10 a go, and the RNG, reels and bonus all behave just like the full Big Bass Splash game. Tap the button below to load the reels; nothing installs and no top-up is asked.
Demo credits let you sit through a full bonus cycle, watch the Fisherman wilds sweep up money symbols and see how often the free games actually land. The Big Bass Splash demo also carries the buy feature at 100x, so you can jump straight to the round instead of waiting on scatters.
Demo vs Real Money: Key Differences
The free demo and the real-money versions are the same pokie, so the Big Bass Splash demo changes only your stake and what you can win. Every feature plays out in full, from the free spins to the buy option, without spending a cent. The table sets the two side by side.
| Feature | Free Demo / Real Money |
| Stakes | Fun-money credits / Real AUD from your balance |
| Sign-up | Not needed / Account + ID check |
| Top-up | No deposit / Deposit required |
| Cash-out | No withdrawals / Real cash-outs |
| RTP & reels | 96.71%, same RNG / 96.71%, same RNG |
| Free games & buy feature | Fully playable / Fully playable |
| Promos | None / Welcome promo, free games |
| Play limits | Not tracked / Deposit, loss and time limits |
The one thing the demo leaves out is real bankroll management, because the balance is virtual. A hot or cold streak in Big Bass Splash free mode changes nothing about your next paid spin, because every result is independent. Use the demo to learn the bonus and bet sizing before you play for real money.
What You Can Test in the Demo
In free mode, the Big Bass Splash demo lets Australian players judge how often scatters drop and how the money fish behave, without a top-up. As one of the free fishing pokies Australia has from Pragmatic Play, it is worth a few spins to see the real scatter hit rate rather than a number on a page. Each fish also takes a random cash value from 2x to 5,000x, and the demo is where you see how rarely the big ones land.
When you trigger the free games, the Fisherman wild starts collecting the money values off every fish on the reels. Every 4th wild you collect retriggers the round and steps the multiplier up to 2x, 3x, then 10x, the sequence worth sitting through in the Big Bass Splash demo. Run a few bet sizes from A$0.10 up and judge the pace on your own phone before you have a punt for real.
Free Spins in the Demo Slot
Landing 3, 4 or 5 scatters in the Big Bass Splash slot demo starts the bonus round the same way as the cash game. Those triggers award 10, 15 or 20 Free Spins, and the scatter count is all that sets your starting number. Everything after that runs on the same rules as real money.
During the bonus, wilds collect the money values on screen and every 4th one adds 10 more spins. The multiplier climbs as the wilds stack, and the demo shows this collect-and-retrigger loop in a couple of minutes. For the full breakdown of retriggers, modifiers and the max win, see the free spins overview on the main page.
Big Bass Splash Free Demo on Mobile in Australia
You can open the Big Bass Splash demo in any mobile browser, so Aussie players play it on iOS or Android straight from this page. It is one of the instant play demo slots on mobile, loading on HTML5 in portrait, with the reels, buttons and bet menu scaled for one hand. Fun-money credits are already there, so there is no deposit box and no sign-up on the phone.
The mobile demo is the same build as desktop, so the RTP, reels and bonus do not change on a phone. Controls switch to touch: tap to spin, hold for turbo, or set autoplay to run on its own. A short session lets you play Big Bass Splash free and check the load time and touch response on your own connection.
